All castings manufactured by McKenna Precision Castings are manufactured in accordance with international, national and individual customer-specified quality standards.
Because of the demanding nature of our key markets, all our castings are subject to stringent quality controls and testing procedures. It is this emphasis on quality that gives our foundry one of the lowest scrap and rework rates in the industry, resulting in very minimal returns from our customers.
McKenna Precision Castings is approved to BS-EN ISO 9001. Attaining this standard demonstrates our ability to manufacture castings using strict guidelines required by the Medical, Aerospace and Automotive industries.
Using internal systems McKenna Precision Castings can achieve batch traceability throughout manufacture and have the facility to maintain records for up to 30 years as required by the customer. Furthermore we have Medical Device Certification to BS-EN ISO 13485.
The Norsok standards were developed by the Norwegian oil industry to replace individual oil companies setting their own standards. These now serve as the reference authorities’ regulation for all Norwegian oil companies and are issued by the Norwegian Oil Association (OLF).
In 2013, McKenna Precision Castings attained the coveted Norsok accreditation. This Norsok standard establishes a set of requirements to verify that we have sufficient competence and experience of the relevant material grades (duplex), and necessary facilities and equipment to produce these in the required shapes and sizes with acceptable properties.
